Region Information : Hotel Colombia is situated in the heart of the historical Borgo Teresiano, the centre of town. The town itself has been inhabited since Roman times and there are various ruins about the city to show this.
Fro, the square just around the corner from the hotel you can catch a bus out to Castello Miramare, an impressive castle set right on the water's edge. You can also take a bus to the Grotta Gigante, the largest tourist cave in the world.
Going further afield, Slovenia and even Croatia can be visited on a day trip from here.

Trieste-Ronchi dei Legionari Airport is linked to the city by taxi and bus shuttle service.
By Train:
Trieste train station is the terminus for national trains coming from Venice, Udine and Tarvisio. The station is just 200 metres from the hotel.
