Hotel Information : Hotel Giglio is located on the first floor of an historic building on Via Cavour, one of the most important streets in the centre of Florence.
We provide an Internet Point as well as wireless broadband connection for laptops and E-mail and fax services.
The staff can facilitate any requests the guests might have regarding car rental (also with driver), taxi rides, museum tickets, medical visits in the hotel, guided visits to museums and organisation of day trips.
Room Information : The rooms are guaranteed the date of arrival from 14:00. On the day of departure, check-out time is 11:00. In case our guests wish to leave their luggage with us, we provide a deposit service.
Travel Information : From the airport:
The Florence airport (Amerigo Vespucci) is only 5 km (about 10 miles) from the centre of Florence. You can take a taxi and arrive at Hotel Giglio in about 20 minutes, or take a bus shuttle to the railway station Santa Maria Novella.
By Train:
Hotel Giglio is easily reached in 20 minutes on foot, and only 5 minutes by taxi, from the Florence's main train station, the Stazione FS Santa Maria Novella. Exiting out the left of the station, follow directions for the Duomo. Upon reaching the Piazza del Duomo, turn left onto Via Martelli, which turns into Via Cavour after the first traffic light.
From Northern Italy by Car:
- Arriving from the north, exit off the autostrada at Firenze Nord and follow the directions for "Centro - Fortezza - Sede Mostra".
- At the Fortezza da Basso, bear right on Viale Spartaco Lavagnini, at the end of which you will be in Piazza della Libertà.
- Take the first left off Piazza della Libertà and you will be in Via Cavour.
From Southern Italy by Car:
- Arriving from the south, exit off the autostrada at Firenze Sud and follow the directions for "Centro- Viali di circonvallazione" until you get to Piazza della Libertà.
- Go around the Piazza and after the traffic light, turn at the first right onto Via Cavour.
For our guests' cars, we have an agreement with a parking garage in the close vicinity.
