Region Information : The Botanic Garden (10 km) - This site features 16 hectares with 30,000 examples of more than 2000 different species. This was the 1st botanic garden in the north-east part of the country and it specialises in the flora and fauna of the cantabric area. Do not think any more, come and visit it!
The Laboral University (10 km) - The Labor University of Gijón is the greatest of Spain, with 270,000 m ². The construction was carried out between 1946 and 1956
Veranes Roman Vila (6 km) - This establishment is considered one of the most enigmatic places for the investigation of the transition from the Roman to the Medieval world. Amongst other structures, it has a swimming pool, mosaics and an extensive necrópolis. It is the greatest rural establishment of the Roman time in the north of Spain.
Aquarium (2 km) - The building, occupying 4,202 square metres and boasting 67 aquariums, will offer the visitor a tour of a dozen maritime zones from all over the world ranging from the coastline of the Bay of Biscay, known locally as the Cantabrian Sea, to the Caribbean Sea, via Cape Horn or the Pacific and Indian Oceans. Coutant Aquariums proposes a complete tour to visitors that will allow them to get to know the flora and fauna of practically every sea in the world in detail.
Travel Information : By Plane:
Ranón Airport (OVD) (38.6 km) is located outside of Avilés. There is motorway to the airport from Gijón, Oviedo and Avilés. By car the journey is 25 minutes and by bus the journey is 45 minutes.
By Public Transport:
Railway station (2 km) – Jovellanos station.
Bus station (2 km) – Alsa station.
Bus stop (50 meters)- Lines 15, 22 and 10 to the center of Gijón.
By Car:
From Oviedo:
- Use motorway named Ronda and take the exit 389, Avda. Constitución-Porceyo.
- Turn left after the traffic lights and the hotel is 500 meters from there.
From Santander:
- Take the Ronda highway and use exit 390, Constitución-Porceyo.
- Turn right after the traffic lights and the hotel is 400 metres from there.
Hotel Information : The AC Lounge is a new concept that aims to allow guests to work, relax, have a drink, read the paper or a book, watch TV or simply feel at home, 24 hours a day.
The entire hotel is accessible for disabled guests and all of the public areas are accessible for wheelchair users. Unfortunately, the hotel doesn't have adapted rooms.
Short description : Modern, newly-constructed building, located in a residential area of the city, just 5 minutes drive from the city center and close to the bypass.
