Short description : The Avra Airport Hotel is strategically located right by the Marina Port of Rafina town with an average travelling time of 20 to 30 minutes from the Athens international airport, Olympic venues and the centre of Athens. Apart from a summer holiday destination, Rafina and its ferry port serve as a connection to many Aegean Islands such as Mykonos, Syros, Tinos, Andros and Evia for example. The Avra Airport Hotel is therefore an ideal stopover before or after a trip to the Greek Cycladic islands.
Travel Information : The fastest way to get to Rafina is by yellow taxis which are available at the Athens international airport. The ride is about 25 minutes. Direct public transport to Rafina is possible by regional bus (KTEL service) or via Pallini (using the train first and then the bus). The hotel shuttle bus is available on request.
Driving directions from Athens international airport:
From the airport take the Attiki Odos highway in the direction of Athens/Elefsina and turn right at exit “Marathonos Avenue” (traffic light). Continue eastbound towards Nea Makri and turn right at the sign for Rafina (traffic light). In Rafina follow the signposts to the ferry port, where the hotel is located.
Food & Beverages : The main restaurant offers an informal atmosphere with a large veranda overlooking the port. Outdoor dining is possible in summer. It is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner daily. Vegetarian and children’s menus are available.
Coffee, refreshments, light snacks and traditional Greek sweets are served in the lobby bar all day. In the evening hotel guests can treat themselves to special cocktails, wines and Greek appetizers.
