From Aachen/Venlo:A44 to D'dorf- Jackerath cross -take A61 to Venlo to Mönchengladbach cross-A52 to D'dorf to the end of freeway - tunnel & take Mainststion(Hbf)Immermannstr.then Oststr. to Klosterstr. From Essen:Take A52 to the end - then drive through the city towards Central railroad station - or take A52 until Breitscheid cross - then A3 towards Köln until Hildener cross - A46 towards Düsseldorf.
