Hotel Information : The White Lodge does not have a private car park. However, parking in the local area is not restricted, so it is easy to find a parking space in one of the surrounding streets at most times of the day.
Unlike central London, there are no parking meters or residents-only parking bays to contend with in the area.
Region Information : Hornsey is located between Crouch End, Muswell Hill and Wood Green. Many restaurants and shops, including The Mall Wood Green, are within walking distance or just a short bus ride away. Local directions are always available from reception.
Travel Information : By Air (from London Heathrow Airport):
From London Heathrow Airport, take the Piccadilly line on the London Underground to Turnpike Lane London Underground Station. From Turnpike Lane, take the number 41 bus towards Hornsey. After 3 stops, get off the bus at Hornsey police station. The White Lodge is located next door.
By Air (from London Gatwick Airport):
From London Gatwick Airport, take the Gatwick Express train service to London Victoria Railway Station. From Victoria, take the Victoria line on the London Underground network tube to Highbury and Islington. From there take a First Capital Connect train to Hornsey. This is usually a Stevenage or Welwyn Garden City service. We are a five minute walk from Hornsey rail station.
By Air (from London Stansted Airport):
From Stansted Airport, take the Stansted Express train service to Tottenham Hale Railway Station. From Tottenham Hale, take the number 41 bus, which passes outside the guest house.
Alternatively, airport transfers are available from any of the airports, using a local taxi company who know the White Lodge well. Transfers can also be arranged from and to London Luton Airport and London City Airport. Transfers are at a reasonable and pre-arranged cost. Further details are available on request. Please contact the White Lodge directly for more information and please let the guest house know well in advance if you wish to make use of this service.
Short description : This family-run, 3-star guest accommodation is situated in North London, near Alexandra Palace and with good access to the area’s buses, trains and London Underground services.
The White Lodge is less than a mile (1.6 km) from Alexandra Palace, which hosts a variety of exhibitions, concerts and a large ice-skating rink during the year. Hornsey Railway Station and Turnpike Lane London Underground Station are just a short walk away. The good transport links mean that the White Lodge is within 30 minutes of most of central London’s most popular attractions and destinations.
All rooms have TVs and tea/coffee making facilities. Some rooms have en suite shower rooms and rooms with shared facilities are also available.
Privately owned and run, the White Lodge prides itself on its cleanliness and friendliness. It has received a 3-star guest accommodation rating from the AA and VisitBritain, the tourist board of the United Kingdom.
Important Information : Late check-in is available at an additional cost. If you are due to arrive outside of the White Lodge's published check-in times, please contact reception.
The White Lodge is a Victorian property with no lift, only stairs. It is not possible to request or reserve rooms on lower floors.
For bookings of 7 nights or more, the White Lodge will require a non-refundable deposit.
Cancelation Policy : Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 3 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.
If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged.
Children and Extra Bed Policy: All children are welcome.
All children under 1 year stay free of charge when using existing bedding.
All children under 2 years are charged GBP 10.00 per night and person for cots.
All older children or adults are charged GBP 10.00 per night and person for extra beds.
Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1.
Deposit Policy: No deposit will be charged.
VAT and city/tourist taxes: 17.5 % VAT is included.
Service charge is not applicable.
City/tourist tax is not applicable.
Internet: Wireless Internet Hotspot is available in the entire hotel and costs GBP 2.00 per 24 hours.
