Zipcode : 1011 AE
Map : Amstel Botel map
Address : Oosterdokkade 2-4

Room Information : Free in-house movie channels in every room. Hairdryers are available from reception, for a (refundable) deposit.

Food & Beverages : Enjoy a hearty buffet breakfast (included in the room price), served between 07:00 and 10:30 in our pleasant breakfast room. You can find a wide choice of eating and drinking venues just steps away from the Botel: from the array of Asian and international restaurants on the famous Zeedijk street, once the haunt of sailors from Amsterdam's port, to the multitude of snack-bars, ‘eetcafes’ (traditional Dutch ‘bistros’), bars and coffee-shops on the Warmoestraat. We invite you to our own informal, friendly bar with a pool table, where our helpful staff, and unusually affordable prices, will help you enjoy a relaxed evening.

Region Information : Explore this beautiful city from the Botel. Hop on a canal cruise (right next door, by Central Station) to explore the canals and enjoy the best views from the water. The museum boat stops at the main museums and attractions, including Anne Frank House, Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh Museum, Rembrandt House and more. Take a leisurely walk to nearby “Nemo” (Science Museum) for one of the best views in Amsterdam from its great roof terrace and the Nederlands Scheepvaart Museum (Maritime Museum) next to it, along with a reconstructed East India Company ship. Walk to Dam Square, Rembrandt Square and the Leidseplein a short distance further on, with lively terraces and cafes. The shopping areas of the pedestrian Kalverstraat and Niewendijk streets, as well as the famous Red Light District, are also within walking distance. Explore the city the Dutch way by renting a bike to discover the charming Jordaan neighbourhood with countless smaller, tree lined canals and bridges, and lovely, narrow cobblestone streets. The numerous tram lines will take you from Central Station to any of the city's other attractions and sights.

Travel Information : The hotel is located east of Central Station (turn left as you exit), 5 minutes away on foot. From Schiphol Airport: The train to Amsterdam Central Station (about 19 minutes travel time) costs EUR 3.60 one-way (2nd class).

Short description : Stay aboard a cruise ship right in the city centre: the Amstel Botel, a converted river cruiser, is moored just off Central Station and combines a unique lodging experience with unparalleled convenience. Few hotels anywhere could rival the Botel as a base of operations for exploring the city. Central Station, with its public transport hub, is mere steps away, and the historic inner city and its canals, as well as the harbour area, are literally outside your window. Whether you are in the city for a one night layover (the Botel's proximity to the station makes it ideal for airport connections) or planning a leisurely holiday exploring all of the attractions, this unusual hotel gives you a taste of the local way of life - living on the water. A true Amsterdam experience.

Important Information : In January 2008 the Amstel Botel will move to a new location, the former NDSM shipyard in northern Amsterdam. This new location can be reached by a free of charge ferry connection from Amsterdam Central Station and during the night time there will be a free of charge shuttle bus. The new location has free of charge public parking facilities; this is unique in Amsterdam.
