Hotel Information : The hotel has been run by the Aalders family for more than 50 years and is said to be one of the last family-owned hotels left in Amsterdam. Having been offered personal attention, guests often return again and again. Its excellent location, beautiful breakfast room and friendly staff are just some of the key factors of Hotel Aalders' good reputation. Smoking is permitted in the bar area, although all rooms are non-smoking rooms.
In the bar area a computer is available for our guests. Same charges will apply.
Room Information : Every room always has something different to the other rooms, but the basic, most important elements remain the same. Hotel Aalders has rooms for every kind of guest, from single travelling business people to families of 4. All rooms are non-smoking.
Child Policy :
Region Information : The hotel is located in a green part of the city centre on a quiet street in the beautiful surroundings of the Museum Square. The central station is easy to reach by tram in some 15 minutes. Most of the major tourist attractions, such as the Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh museum, the Vondelpark, Leidsesquare, famous Amsterdam canals, Albert Cuyp market and Concertgebouw, are all within walking distance.
Travel Information : By Car:
- From the A10 ring road, take the S108 Amstelveense Weg exit.
- Follow the S108 road towards the city centre until Van Baerlestraat.
- Turn left into Van Baerlestraat.
- When passing by Museum Square (it will be on your right), turn into the 2nd street to the right for the hotel.
Parking:
- Please keep in mind that the hotel does not have private parking. There are several secured car parks in the direct area with approximately the same rate as on the street parking - both options are quite expensive.
- Park and ride (P+R) parking near Olympic Stadium (some 3 km from the hotel) is a good, safe and cheap alternative with convenient tram connection to the city. The hotel's reception staff will be glad to give you more information on your arrival.
By Train/Tram (from Schiphol Airport):
- From the airport, take a train to Amsterdam Central Station and from there, just outside the station, take tram numbers 2 or 5 and get off at Hobbemastraat.
- Take a Connexxion hotel shuttle bus from the Schiphol Plaza (main square of the airport). It departs every 30 minutes and takes you directly to the hotel in about 40 minutes. No reservation is needed.
- You can also take a taxi, which is the fastest and most comfortable way to get to the hotel (15-20 minutes journey time).
Food & Beverages : We have a small but cosy bar on the ground floor where you can enjoy a drink.
Breakfast is served in our breakfast room on the first floor. It is served daily from 7:30 to 10:00.
For dinner and lunch you don't have to walk far. There are many good restaurants in the neighbourhood. Our reception staff will be glad to help you with suggestions.
Short description : The hotel is located in the quiet part of the city centre, in the beautiful area of Museum square, just 5 minutes walk from Leidsesquare where many bars, restaurants and clubs are located. Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh museum are both just around the corner. The RAI is easy to reach by tram.
Most of the other major tourist attractions are within walking distance.

Cancelation Policy : Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 2 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.
If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged.
Children and Extra Bed Policy: All children are welcome.
All children under 2 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.
One child under 2 years is charged EUR 7,50 per night and person in a baby cot.
One further older child or adult is charged EUR 40 per night and person in an extra bed.
Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1.
Deposit Policy: No deposit will be charged.
VAT and city/tourist taxes: VAT is included.

Internet: Wireless internet is available in the entire hotel and costs EUR 5.00 per hour .
