Short description : Newly decorated in 2007, this hostel offers you spacious, clean and safe rooms with large windows, internet access and air conditioning, at the centre of the Golden Mile shopping paradise.
This hostel is near to the spectacular Victoria Harbour and the shopping hub of the city. Being easily accessible from many tourist attractions, the hostel is just a 10-minute walk from the Star Ferry and the China Ferry Terminal. We warmly welcome all of you to enjoy your leisure trip in our hostel, named after the owner’s birthplace. We have a lot of hostel management experience, and now we are more knowledgeable as to what you need, whilst putting much effort into upgrading the room facilities. Because of our hospitable service and care, we aim to treat every customer as family.
Region Information : This hostel is located in the most convenient and prosperous district in Hong Kong - Tsim Sha Tsui, which is the central part of Hong Kong (similar to Manhattan in New York City). Tsim Sha Tsui is just next to the Victoria Harbour. Tourists can enjoy the great sea views and the famous night scene of Hong Kong Island at the seaside. Nathan Road, known as the 'Golden Mile', is also nearby and is famous for its shops, arcades, boutiques, restaurants and fantastic nightlife.
Important Information : Chungking Mansion is a large building with many hostels and 5 blocks. Please be aware that some people often stand in the street pretending to be our staff members, only to take you to a different place. Please do not show or give your booking information to any stranger.
Please print out your booking confirmation sheet and check-in with your name. We will have your name and confirmation number on a list of paper. When we have verified your name and number, you need to pay the entire cost of your stay. Then you can easily be checked in and get to your room.
Please contact our hostel immediately after you have arrived at Hong Kong International Airport to confirm your arrival and you will be directed to the easiest route to the hostel. When you arrive at the Hong Kong International Airport, before you collect your luggage, there are many free public phones you can use.
Travel Information : Please note that you will need to check-in at Chungking Mansion, Block C, Floor 15, 36-44 Nathan Road.
By Plane (from Hong Kong Airport):
You can take the A21 Airport Shuttle Bus from 05:30 to 24:00 (runs every 10 minutes, 40-minute journey, costs HKD 33 per person). Get off at the 14th bus stop (Middle Road Station.
Alternatively, the Airport Express Train is available from 05:50 to 01:15 (runs every 12 minutes, 25-minute journey, costs HKD 90 per person). Get off at Kowloon Station and change to the free airport shuttle bus K3 to the Holiday Inn. From there, go along Nathan Road and turn left for Chungking Mansion.
Taxis run a 24-hour service (30-minute journey, costs HKD 300). Please tell the driver to stop at the Chungking Mansion, Tsim Sha Tsui.
By Train (from Mainland China):
The service from Shen Zhen runs from 06:30 to 24:00 every 5 minutes (45-minute journey, costs HKD 36.5 per person). Get off at the last station, East Tsim Sha Tsui (M2 exit).
From Beijing / Shanghai, take the train to Hung Hom (Kowloon) Station and then change to East Tsim Sha Tsui Station (M2 exit).
By Ferry:
Guangdong Road Pier is within 15 minutes walking distance of Chungking Mansion.
From Sheungwan Pier, take the MTR to Tsim Sha Tsui (C1 exit) from the station next to the pier.
Cancelation Policy : Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 2 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.
If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged.
Children and Extra Bed Policy: All children are welcome.
All children under 3 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.
All children under 1 year stay free of charge for cots.
All older children or adults are charged HKD 150.00 per night and person for extra beds.
Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1.
Deposit Policy: No deposit will be charged.
VAT and city/tourist taxes: 3 % Tax is not included.
10 % service charge per room per night is not included.
City/tourist tax is not applicable.
Internet: Wireless internet is available in the entire hotel and is free of charge.
Meal Plan: This hotel has no meal services.
Parking: Free Private parking is possible on streets nearby (reservation is needed).
