Short description : In the midst of the walled city of Toledo sits this unique hotel, whose principal structure is a rustic home and an antique blacksmith shop dating back to 1815. The enclave´s easy access to all points of Toledo is privileged. Near Zocodover, the city´s principal plaza, the Hotel Abad Toledo is surrounded by some of Toledo´s most emblematic monuments: The Puerta del Sol, the Mosque of Cristo de la Luz (999 B.C.), the Puerta de Bisagra in addition to amazing views of the lower section of the area.
Hotel Information : The hotel is located within the city walls of Toledo. Its main building is a blacksmith’s workshop that dates back from 1815. Placed in a privileged and easy to access location, near Zocodover (main square) the hotel is surrounded by the city’s main landmarks such as: Puerta del Sol, Mezquita del Cristo de la Luz (999 a.C.), Puerta de Bisagra etc. It also offers breathtaking views to the river Tajo.
A smart, 3 star hotel that opened in 2003. It offers 22 rooms, all individually decorated and where original elements such as beams, wood work and bricks have been maintained during the refurbishment and now combine with modern and functional design. The result is a cosy and innovative hotel.
Region Information : Main landmarks: Cathedral, Alcázar, El Greco Museum, Sinagoga del Tránsito and Sinagoga Santa Maria de la Blanca (synagogues), Sefardí Museum, San Juan de los Reyes Monastery, San Servando Castle, Museum of the Santa Cruz, Santo Tomé’s Church and the Greco’s painting “The Burial of Count Orgaz”, Tavera Hospital and its museum etc.

Breathtaking views of the city from “El Valle”, Piedra del Rey Moro, near Toledo’s Parador (high class tourist hotel)
Distancies: Madrid (45 minutes), Aranjuez (gardens and palace), Toledo’s mountain range, with impressive Mediterranean forest landscapes, hidden villages and traditional “fiestas”, hiking possibilities, game hunting, fishing, Castillo Templario in San Martín de Montalbán, Castles of Guadamur, Almonacid, Escalona and Consuegra (the last one located next to restored windmills), monuments in Illescas (there you can see several paintings by El Greco, a church with a Mudejar tower etc), la Puebla de Montalbán or Ocaña. You can also adventure yourself in the Route of Don Quixote.
In the North-West side of the province you can find the foothills of the “Sierra de Gredos”, extensive chestnut and oak forests at the Sierra de San Vicente and beautiful little villages.
Local gastronomy combines Castilian rural influences (roasts, breadcrumbs), Arabian influences (marzipan, desserts) and game (stewed partridge, venison) with the best local wines (Denominación de origen La Mancha and Méntrida).
