Travel Information : By Air:
The hotel is approximately 10 km from Venice Marco Polo Airport. The journey from the airport to the hotel should take about 20 minutes by private water taxi.
By Waterbus:
Various Vaporetto waterbuses run regularly from stops close to the hotel, including Vaporetto number one, which runs from Ca’ d’Oro, Vaporetti numbers 42, 52, 41 and 51, which run from Fondamente Nuove, and Vaporetto number 82, which runs from Rialto.
Region Information : The hotel is conveniently situated for exploring all that the beautiful and historic city of Venice has to offer. The famous Piazza San Marco (or Saint Mark's Square) is just a pleasant 10-minute stroll away. Alternative, you could take a relaxing boat ride down the Grand Canal in a Vaporetto, one of Venice's motorised waterbuses. You can enjoy Venice and admire its beauty even more from the water, as you pass underneath its 2 famous bridges, Rialto and Accademia. In just a few minutes, you will arrive at the heart of Venice, the Palazzo Ducale (or The Doge's Palace). This gothic palace was the residence of the Doge of Venice and was the symbol of the Serenissima Repubblica di Venezia (or The Most Serene Republic of Venice). This Italian state originated in the city of Venice and existed for one thousand, one hundred years, from the 8th century until the 18th century (1797). This extraordinary building has a bell tower, a clock tower and superb panoramic views of the San Marco Basin.
Room Information : The Locanda Aquavita has just five rooms, each of them furnished and decorated in the traditional Venetian style and finished to a very high standard. The rooms include one quadruple room, one triple room and 3 double rooms arranged over 2 floors. Some of the rooms feature stunning original features such as ceilings with exposed wooden beams and typical Venetian mosaic flooring. The bright, spacious, airy rooms are well-equipped, with all the modern comforts and facilities you need to enjoy a restful, relaxing holiday. Each room is named after one of the major islands of the lagoon, San Andrea, San Francesco, Murano, Burano and Torcello, and each room has the appropriate island depicted above the bed.
Important Information : Please let the management know your expected arrival time at least one day in advance. The Locanda Acquavita does not have a 24-hour concierge service and can only offer this service in the morning. For this reason, please pass on your arrival time to the management in advance so that someone can meet you and lead you to the residence. Food & Beverages : Breakfast is included in the quoted price and is served in the room, so guests can enjoy their breakfast in the comfort and privacy of their own room. Breakfasts can be arranged on arrival with the Gentile Padrone di Casa (or Head of the Household), Dario. Any subsequent changes can likewise be made with him.
