From John Lennon Airport:
- Head west and go over one roundabout.
- Head slightly left at Speke Hall Avenue.
- At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit and stay on Speke Hall Avenue.
- Take a slight right to stay on Speke Hall Avenue.
- Continue on to A562/Hillfoot Road.
- At the roundabout, take the first exit onto A5058/Menlove Avenue.
- Turn right at A562/Allerton Road.
- Continue to follow the A562.
- Turn left at Park Way, and turn right at Upper Hampton Street.
From Lime Street Station:
- Head north towards Lord Nelson Street.
- Turn left at Lord Nelson Street.
- Turn left at A5038/Lime Street.
- Continue to follow the A5038.
- Take a slight left at A5039/Leece Street.
- Continue to follow the A5039. The A5039 turns slightly left and becomes B5175/Princes Road.
- Turn left at Upper Hampton Street.
Short description : This backpackers’ lodge offers budget shared and private accommodation in the diverse Georgian Quarter of South Liverpool, only 5 minutes’ walk from the city centre.
There is no curfew, and reception is open 24 hours a day for your convenience. Groups are welcome, and the accommodation is open all year round.
Situated in what many call the ‘Real Heart of Liverpool’, The Nightingale Lodge has a welcoming atmosphere and a wealth of history. Friendly, helpful staff and excellent transport links make this accommodation a good-value base from which to explore Liverpool.

Hotel Information : Originally known as ‘The Nightingale House’ the Lodge played an essential role in Britain's medical advances during the 18th century and the historic plaque in front of the building commemorates Florence Nightingale's work. Other publicly listed features include the picturesque stained glass window at the top of the main staircase which overlooks the reception area where you can find Florence Nightingale's own original bookcase from her time in the city.
Enjoy the many facilities: a communal kitchen and dining area, free hot showers, a large lounge, computer kiosks, a plasma TV with satellite channels, secure cycle storage and security-lockers.
