Short description : Located on a historic stretch of Dublin’s Grand Canal, Dublin Barge Hire offers a self-catering cruising barge with a fully fitted kitchen and a full-size bath with shower. Dublin city centre is just 2 km away and variety of restaurants and cafés can be found in the surrounding area.
Central heating is provided with the Dublin Barge Hire, as well as a private outdoor space to relax in during the warmer months. The bedroom comprises of a king-size bed and 2 bunk beds. A full-size oven, stove and a dining area are also provided.
The Bord Gáis Energy Theatre is just a 3-minute walk away and hosts well-known musicals, plays and live music. The cruising route begins at Grand Canal Basin and finishes at Portobello. The journey takes approximately 2 hours each way.
Important Information : If you would like to cruise the barge to Portobello you must give 24 hours notice as the Lock Keeper needs to be informed. Guests must leave in the morning time as the cruise takes 4 hours and you must cruise during Lock Keepers hours.
There is a EUR 500 refundable damage deposit which must be paid in advance.
Please note that guests are recommended to park at Q Parking, situated next to the property.
