Food & Beverages : After a refreshing night's sleep in one of our comfortable guest rooms, a rich and comprehensive breakfast buffet awaits our guests every morning from 7.00 until 10.30. The buffet is supplemented with seasonal fruits and vegetables, as well as a variety of freshly baked breads, rolls and croissants. During the hot summer days our guests have the opportunity to breakfast in our popular green and flowery courtyard, which acts as a cool oasis.
Our gastronomical services are completed by the Restaurant Stefan, which serves international cuisine as well as typical Bavarian "Schmankerln."
Cancelation Policy : Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 18:00 on the date of arrival, no fee will be charged.
If cancelled later, 80 percent of the first night will be charged.
In case of no-show, the first night will be charged.
Children and Extra Bed Policy: All children are welcome.
All children under 6 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.
All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots.
All children from 2 to 14 years are charged EUR 20 per night and person for extra beds.
All children from 14 to 18 years are charged EUR 30 per night and person for extra beds.
Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1.

Short description : The Alpen Hotel München is situated in a quiet side street in the city centre. You can enjoy first class family tradition in one of the oldest hotels in Munich.
All the sights and attractions, the pedestrianised old town, Marienplatz and the town hall, the local public transport services and the main train station, as well as the world famous Oktoberfest, are all within comfortable walking distance of the hotel. The fairgrounds and exhibition centre are less than 20 minutes away by public transport.
Travel Information : By car:
You can reach us from Munich via one of 6 motorways. Whether you are travelling on the A8 from Stuttgart, the A96 from Lindau, the A 95 from Garmisch, the A9 from Nuremberg, the A94 from Passau, or the A8 from Salzburg, please always drive in the direction of the city centre (Stadtmitte) and the Altstadtring.
Follow the Altstadtring until you reach Karlsplatz/Stachus, where you should turn from Sonnenstrasse into Adolf-Kolping-Str.
When loading and unloading your vehicle, please stop directly in front of the hotel. We recommend that you then park your car in the adjacent multi-storey car park.
By train:
Via the Intercity or any other type of train, you can reach Munich Hauptbahnhof (main train station), in the city centre. Leave the station through the main exit, next to the taxi rank and the bus stops. Walk down Schillerstrasse opposite, and at the first crossing turn left into Adolf-Kolping-Str. towards our hotel. You can reach the hotel from the station in approx. 5 minutes on foot.
By plane:
Once landed in the Franz-Josef-Strauss airport in Munich, find the central area "Z" and take the S-Bahn (urban railway) line S 8 in the direction of "München". After a journey of approx. 40 minutes you will reach the Hauptbahnhof (main station). From there, you should take the main exit and walk down Schillerstrasse opposite. At the first crossing turn left into Adolf-Kolping-Str. towards our hotel.
A taxi from the airport to our hotel takes about 45 minutes and costs about EUR 60.
Important Information : Senior citizens as of the age of 65 years may request a discount of EUR 5.20 per room ( not available on special rates/ discounts and fair rates ).
