Hotel Information : London’s newest decadent arts hotel which combines Edwardian elegance with drama. Adjacent to Hyde Park and close to Paddington station, The Jones hotel is a landmark building now restored to full baroque glory. Built by Mewes and Davis who designed The Ritz, the building retains many of its original Edwardian features with gilt curves, frescoes and rosewood panelling. Complete with a stunning theatre commission by Edward VII for his mistress Lillie Langtree in the late 1800s, it has been restored to its former glory providing a stage for London’s emerging creative talent. Each evening guests can sample a slice of contemporary cultural London, with 20 minute performances ranging from music to theatre to poetry - suitable for those who want to experience canapé style cultural grazing.

Room Information : In contrast to the historic architecture of the public spaces, the fully-equipped guestrooms, complete with flat-screen interactive TVs, free Wifi for the first hour and MP3 ports, are hallmarked by more subtle tones and thoughtful, understated styling, with mood lighting and soft pillows for sleepy heads.

Food & Beverages : In keeping with this glamorous property, The Jones restaurant will be positioned as an haute bistro – an elegant, traditional French brasserie, complete with classic cocktail bar. The executive chef, Eric Allouard, has a wealth of experience having worked in a number of two Michelin-starred establishments in France; London eateries including Sketch and hotel restaurants such as Memories at the five star Langham hotel. His menus will be characterised by modern French dishes featuring only the freshest seasonal ingredients, with many ingredients imported by France.

Region Information : You may not have the chance to hit the fashion track in neighbouring Notting Hill or experience the perennial bustle of Portobello, but off-beat, contemporary London will come to you. For fitness enthusiasts, Hyde Park is adjacent to the hotel and has many great jogging routes. For the shopaholic, Queensway tube is directly behind the hotel and only 2 stops from Oxford Street.

Travel Information : When it’s time to leave, the hotel is minutes from Paddington station, the home of the Heathrow Express – the fast track to London’s premier international airport. The area is also serviced by 3 tube stations and 5 tube lines, providing easy access to anywhere in London.
