Beckerich (Luxembourgish: Biekerech) is a commune and small town in western Luxembourg, in the canton of Redange. It lies close to the border with Belgium. As of 2005, the town of Beckerich, which lies in the centre of the commune, has a population of 635. Other towns within the commune include Hovelange, Noerdange, Oberpallen, and Schweich. Beckerich has a drinking water production plant, which supplies Lidl Stores with water internationally. It supplies about 85% of its energy needs, exclusive of transportation, from alternative energy sources, primarily manure.

La commune de Beckerich
Les 8 villages de la commune de Beckerich ont été rénovés de manière exemplaire. En 1996, la commune a d'ailleurs obtenu le prix européen du développement rural.

L'étang du moulin bordé de saules et l'aulnaie riveraine témoignent de l'utilisation antérieure par l'homme de ce site caractérisé par des sources.

Outre son importance fondamentale pour la faune et la flore, le site du "Moulin de Beckerich" a également une grande valeur historico-culturelle. L'étang et le moulin figurent déjà sur la carte de Ferraris de 1777.

Le Kahlenberg possède sa propre histoire. Les druides celtes célébraient déjà ici leurs rites. Les Romains surveillaient le trafic sur la route Arlon-Mersch. Les pestiférés faisaient des pélerinages à la chapelle pour prier St. Job, le Saint des pestiférés. Au départ de l'église à Beckerich, un chemin de croix comprenant 7 stations mène à la chapelle St. Job. La légende parle d'un couloir souterrain allant du château de Guirsch à la frontière belge jusqu'à la chapelle.
